MELBOURNE, Fla -- Around 9:30 PM, the police and fire dept responded to resident's call to Teakwood CT in the Cedar Run Subdivision to several homes on fire.  

Officers were met by the homeowners who directed them to a suspect who was on foot.  He was identified as a neighbor who was wearing a hoodie.

Police K-9 dogs were deployed, and the suspect was apprehended near the rail-road tracks a short distance later.

The fire department personnel were able to extinguish the flames. It was reported the suspect, who was not identified by police yet, used gasoline and a lighter to start the fires. 

The victims all wished to press charges and the suspect is being held at the Brevard County Jail on a no bond status.
