5 Injured During 130 MPH High Speed Police Chase

POLK COUNTY, Fla -- Five people are injured today after a 130 MPH high speed pursuit ends in a horrifying crash.

Horrific images show the scene of the end of a high speed police chase.

The Florida Highway Patrol says a trooper spotted a Toyota Camry traveling on I-4 at 102 MPH and attempted to pull the vevicle over.  The driver refused to stop and a chase started.  The driver sped up to speeds of 130 MPH before the Camry crashed into a construction zone where is ran into a closed portion of the road and creamed into a semi tractor trailer.  Multiple people were then ejected from the vehicle.

Troopers searched the vehicle and found over 5 grand in cash and several pounds of Marijuana inside the Camry.  The driver was taken into custody by the FHP and transported to the Polk County Detention Center on a number of charges, includeing several felonies.
