Titusville Woman Leads Officers on Wild Chase

TITUSVILLE, Fla --

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A woman from Titusville is charged with trafficking fentanyl, and leading officers on a wild and dangerous pursuit involving several jurisdictions.

Officers say 56-year-old Sally Debets displayed dangerous ill-regard for public safety while driving her red Dodge pickup truck at speeds of 70 MPH while trying to evade arrest.

Before the dangerous pursuit, officers spotted her red truck at a gas station on Garden Street which displayed a stolen tag, police say.  That's when she took off.

Debets was allegedly running stop signs and dangerously manuvering between civilian innocent vehicles through traffic and officers had to call of the pursuit.  A short time later, officers managed to identify the suspect via investigative means and through store video.

Officers with Titusville Police Department and Deputies from the Brevard County Sheriff's Office partnered together to later arrest Debtes.

She was found to have more than 40 grams of Meth, 10 grams of Fentanyl, 5 1/2 grams of Crack Cocaine, a Crack pipe and various pills.

She is being held in jail without bond.
