MELBOURNE, FLORIDA --

A multi vehicle collision is being reported in Melbourne today. Authorities have southbound Wickham Road shut down and is being detoured at this hour.

Melbourne Police, the Brevard County Sheriff's Office and the Florida Highway Patrol are all on scene investigating. Authorities say a red Dodge Ram pickup truck ran a red light at the intersection and collided with another red SUV before crashing into the traffic light. 

The traffic signals are currently malfunctioning as a result and police are directing traffic.

The driver of that red Dodge truck is being charged and cited today for careless driving. 

We tried to speak to the driver of the red Dodge Ram but they did not want to speak with the Blake Moia Show. The other driver of the second vehicle was taken to a local hospital.
