The NWS in Melbourne says online classes are available for free for those who are interested in learning about tropical weather, including Hurrricanes.
According to the National Weather Service office in Melbourne, National Weather Service meteorologists across the state of Florida are teaming-up before the peak of hurricane season to review recommended tropical readiness, preparedness, response and recovery actions.
These online classes span 4 days, covering various topics such as monitoring the storm, preparedness to your property before the storm, evacuations, effects and impacts of the storm, hunkering down and post storm safety including cleaning up.
Classes start Monday, July 29 and end on Thursday, Aug 1st
