Ryan Wesley Routh, the suspect accused of trying to assassinate former President, and current candidate for President Donald J. Trump appeared before a Federal Magistrate at a Federal Courthouse in West Palm Beach yesterday.
Officials say that Routh spent over 12 hours "staking out" the golf club and the surrounding area before "setting up shop" in the bush line that serves as natural protective barrier of a busy road and the gold course property.
Federal authorities are officially calling it an "assassination attempt".
Rough, who had his ankles and wrists shackled together during the court pleading, was reportedly "smiling, laughing and making jokes" with his public defender. Rough was formally charged with federal charges of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of a firearm with an altered serial number. He entered a not guilty plea.
Prosecutors say the high powered SKS gun that was found at the scene had the serial identifying number removed, which makes it a Federal Felony. The Blake Moia Show looked into Routh's record and discovered that he was convicted of possession of a weapon of mass destruction in North Carolina, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and 3 counts of possession of stolen property.
The Martin County Sheriff's Office Released body cam footage of the arrest of 58-year-old Ryan Routh. He was arraigned in Federal Court yesterday on charges of possession of firearm by a convicted felon. Investigators say the "motive is still unclear". Routh has been reportedly traveling to Ukraine and recruiting Afghans to fight in the country.
Records show Routh voted and was registered to vote in 2 states. It remains unclear who the suspect was able to obtain the SKS and travel to Florida while on restrictive status.

A suspect is in custody after a shooting occurred at Former President Trump's golf course in Florida.
In a news conference on Sunday, Palm Beach County Sheriff Ric Bradshaw said the Secret Service alerted local authorities about multiple gunshots at the course around 1:30 p.m. ET.
According to Bradshaw, a Secret Service agent who was stationed one hole ahead of Trump and spotted an SKS-style rifle sticking out and bulging out of a fence at the golf course. The agent "immediately engaged" with the person holding the rifle. That's when the gunman took off in a black Nissan. A spokesperson for the Secret Service said agents opened fire at the individual.
“He was in an area in the shrubbery,” Palm Beach County Sheriff Ric Bradshaw said about the shooter’s position.
A reporter asked how far away the shooter from Trump was:
“Probably between 300-500 yards,” said Palm Beach County Sheriff Ric Bradshaw Sunday. “But, with a rifle and scope like that, that’s not a long distance.”
The would-be assassin fled his spot hidden in the bushes after being detected by a Secret Service agent doing a perimeter check.
“[The Secret Service agent] jumped up one hole ahead of time to where the president was at,” said Bradshaw. “And he was able to spot this rifle barrel sticking out of a fence and immediately engage that individual, at which time that individual took off. Now, in the bushes where this guy was, is an AK47-style rifle with a scope, two backpacks which were hung on the fence that had ceramic tile in them and a GoPro which he was going to take pictures [with].”
The suspect left behind a Go-Pro camera, and 2 back packs attached to the fence, and an SKS Soviet Union style rifle at the scene before fleeing.
Authorities say the would-be assassin was spotted by an eyewitness and captured a photograph of a license plate number and a provide law enforcement a detailed description of the get-away vehicle.
Police noticed an emergency command center of the incident and issued a Statewide BOLO (Be On Look Out) for the vehicle.
A short time later, a license plate reader along I-95 in Martin County, near Stuart, located the suspect vehicle. Deputies from Martin County converged on the area and was able to take the would-be killer into custody.

Who is Ryan Wesley Routh?
It seems as if it's just another whacked out yahoo.
Routh has ties to North Carolina, where public records show he registered as an “unaffiliated” voter without a party in 2012. He voted in that state’s Democratic primary in March of this year, according to the North Carolina State Board of Elections.
Routh has contributed more than $100 to ActBlue, which processes donations for Democrats, federal campaign finance records show.
He also has a criminal record, with arrests in 2002 for possessing a weapon of mass destruction, according to Federal Authorities.
Routh expressed strong support for Ukraine – in dozens of posts on X in 2022, saying he was willing to die in the fight and that “we need to burn the Kremlin to the ground.”
He claimed on X that he tried to “sell” the idea of having former Afghanistan troopers fight for Ukraine in Russia, but was denied multiple times before giving up after six months.
One reply to X’s owner Elon Musk seemed to entertain purchasing a rocket from the billionaire.
“I would like to buy a rocket from you. I wish to load it with a warhead for Putin’s Black Sea mansion bunker to end him. Can you give me a price please. It can be old and used as not returning,” Routh wrote.
Law enforcement personnel from different agencies converged onto Ryan Routh after he was seen fleeing from Trump's golf course after being see with a SKS rifle.
Martin County Sheriff: Suspect in shooting near Trump in Palm Beach was ‘relatively calm’ during arrest.
Martin County Sheriff William D. Snyder said his department’s deputies arrested a suspect in a shooting the FBI described as a likely attempted assassination against former President Donald Trump on Sunday in Palm Beach County.
Snyder said Martin County deputies responded to a be on the lookout alert, or BOLO, for a black Nissan sports utility vehicle during the search for the suspect who was targeting Trump with a rifle at the Trump International Golf Club West Palm Beach.
“There was a lone driver in the vehicle. That driver is now in custody,” Snyder said adding he was “relatively calm” and “not displaying a lot of emotions.”
Snyder said Florida Highway Patrol troopers closed Interstate 95 northbound and there was a crash involving civilians because of the suspect’s traffic stop. Snyder also said Martin County deputies worked with the U.S. Secret Service, the FBI, Florida Highway Patrol, and the Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office.
“The FBI will take that car, we will transport it for them back to Palm Beach,” Snyder said.
The FBI has custody of Routh. The District Attorney's Office announced that they will be seeking emergency motions to hold Rough "in indefinite pre-trial secure custody" due to the circumstances and seriousness of the situation.
