At least one witness told officers that the car which hit Soueidan fled the scene heading westbound on Malabar Road, but returned to the site a short time later, before officers arrived. Police said the suspect's car was going at least 94 mph when it struck and killed Soueidan.

Homicide Traffic Investigators from the Palm Bay Police Department obtained a search warrant, from a judge, to obtain the vehicle's digitally stored data and schematics. The manufacture cooperated with the investigation and authorities were able to determine and read the vehicle's running speed based on GPS and other investigative tactics.

The crash happened at Capeador and Nadell streets in Palm Bay.

Father Also Arrested

The person initially claiming to be the driver was his father, 37-year-old, Narrian Sabdull, and returned to the scene.

However, during the investigation it was suspected and ultimately determined that the driver that returned to the scene was not the person driving the vehicle at the time of the fatal hit-and-run crash.

Through the Investigation, including video confirmation, it was confirmed that the actual driver at the time of the crash was 17-year-old, Tyler Sabdull.

According to records, the father is a real-estate agent, and according to a business profile on Facebook, his business is permanently closed.
