"This is Absolutely Ridiculous"

Sheriff Chitwood isn't playing any games with the 2%.

Volusia County, Fla --

2 Students are in jail for allegedly making online threats via Snapchat to shoot up their school. Snapchat is reportedly a known instant messaging app that is commonly used by gangs, thugs, bullies and other teenagers - commonly used to sell drugs to their peers, and to publicly harass and bully others.  Lately it has become a tool to use to make online threats to shoot up schools.

Volusia County Sheriff Mike Chitwood has promised to parade around any minor in handcuffs and shackles for disrupting school functions in front of the news media cameras. This makes the 5th arrest in 2 weeks around the area regarding the disruption of school activities.

The Sheriff says 17-year-old Trinity Mack sent a photo on Snapchat today that said “Imma shoot up the school” with her school laptop in the background. That's when 16-year-old Brayden Severance replied “Same.”

The Sheriff says the pair made the threats as a "joke" and that they thought it would be "funny". The Sheriff and nobody else is laughing.

Both students were taken into custody earlier this week on 2nd degree felony charges.

"This was RIGHT AFTER Taylor Middle-High School broadcast a long announcement to the entire student body with our warning that that ALL threats are taken seriously, and these “jokes” are not only unacceptable, they can lead to expulsion and arrest", Sheriff Chitwood said in a press release.

Flashing Gang Signs in Lockup

On Thursday, the Sheriff posted video online of the 2 students being perp walked into jail.

"Again: Parents, I need you to TALK to your kids and help them understand these “jokes” are just about the dumbest way to find yourself locked up with a felony.

Kids need to realize that what they post and send on social media is not private. It will get reported to us.

We are wasting time and resources on this BS that disrupts our schools and lives. It’s not fair to the 99% of kids who are doing the right thing", Sheriff Mike Chitwood said.

At the end of the video, the male teenager is seen quickly flashing what is known as a street gang sign while he sits in a cell cage with shackles locked onto his ankles and his wrists cuffed, before the video end.

"The kids thinks its cool and funny but ultimately it's really not", Blake Moia said on his show today. "There's only like 2% of the population - a real small minority of people who cause trouble who ruins the rest of it for everyone else. It's not fair to to the rest of the students who simply want to go to school to learn."

The Blake Moia Show finds it imperative that these small handful of troublemakers be held accountable.
