THE BREVARD COUNTY JAIL, FL --
Palm Bay Police arrested a 22-year-old after reports of an attempted burglary at a home in the area of Corona Ave.
According to an arrest report, the homeowner was alerted by their doorbell Ring service that a male wearing a hoodie was attempting to kick down the front door and broke a screen door before running away.
Officers say that person dropped a backpack containing an identification card at the scene.
That's when authorities say Victor Pocoroba returned and was spotted by officers as he began to destroy the victim's mailbox.
While under arrest, Pocoroba escaped the handcuffs and as officers attempted to fix the handcuffs, Pocoroba became combative by tensing his arms and ultimately attempted to headbutt the arresting officers inside the booking room.
Pocoroba was then hog tied by authorities using the "WRAP" restraint system and was transported to the hospital for evaluation.
The suspect was eventually transported to The Brevard County Jail after spending a few hours in the restraint system where he is being held on an $18,000 bond.
