MIMS, FL --
A homeless man from Mims has a new place to stay tonight after authorities say he threatened a bank teller with a knife.
The Brevard County Sheriff's Office says 65-year-old Nicholas Louis Diaco tried to rob a Regions Bank in Northern Brevard County by threatening the teller with a pocket knife.
According to the arrest affidavit, Diaco had his hands in his pockets while instilling fear to the teller while that he was concealing a weapon.
When confronted by Deputies, Diaco claimed that he was homeless and he would rather go to jail than live in the woods. He told Deputies that he had no intention to rob or deprive the bank of money.
