PALM BAY, FL --
A convicted felon is behind bars again today, after he was caught with trafficking amounts of drugs and a loaded firearm.
Palm Bay police say they pulled over a white Chevy Malibu at the intersection of Eldron Blvd. and Jupiter Road for running a red light.
Upon approaching the vehicle, officers could smell marijuana coming from the car.
Police say, the suspect gave them a phony name and was not able to provide a social security number.
According to the arrest affidavit, the backup Sgt. noticed a marijuana grinder with a green leafy substance in plain view.
While officers conducted a probable cause search of the vehicle, they found the suspect's Florida Identification Card.
Authorities identified the driver as, 43-year-old Johnathon Barco of Daffodil Dr in S.W. Palm Bay. Officers also found illegal contraband to include:
Records show that Barco was out on Felony Probation. His bond was set at $38,500
