A wanted and dangerous career felon was arrested again after a serious of events which took place in and around the notorious Ixora Park neighborhood in Melbourne.

Police say 44-year-old Christopher Allen Mogle attempted to hide a bag of drugs after he crashed into a Melbourne Police vehicle on Sarno Road at the intersection of Cronin last week.

According to a criminal complaint, witnesses told officers that immediately after the crash, Mogle reached over and retrieved a baggie from a female passenger's bra and then tossed it under the crashed vehicle.

The drugs were found under the wrecked vehicle and field tested positive for Fentanyl after the vehicle was towed away from the scene.

Later in the week, a tipster notified law enforcement that Mogle was at a house on East Ford Circle.

When officers attempted to serve the arrest warrant, Mogle fled out the back door of the residence. Police converged onto the Ixora Park neighborhood to set up a perimeter.

A Sheriff helicopter responded to the area and eventually found a "heat signature" of a person hiding in some patchy woods behind a shed located in a backyard of another residence shortly down the road. Mogle was described as wearing no shirt and covered in tattoos.

After being found hiding behind a tool shed on Ford Circle and failing to comply, Mogle was bitten by a police K-9 dog and then arrested by several police officers.

Mogle was currently out on bond for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of drugs, and resisting officers during the latest incidents.

The owner of the shed / property opted to press charges on Mogle, and he is facing additional resisting arrest, trespassing and burglary charges as a result.

Mogle is being held at The Brevard County Jail with no bond. This is his 21st arrest since 2010. Records also show that Mogle previously served 20 months in state prison.
