THE BLAKE MOIA SHOW CALLS PAUL ALFREY, THE MELBOURNE MAYOR'S OFFICE

THE BLAKE MOIA SHOW --

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Today, we and I myself, tried to reach out to the Melbourne, Florida Mayor, Paul Alfrey.  Both by phone call and e-mail.

We are expressing our grievances within our city, our community and our neighborhood.  Those grievances include issues with our highly corrupt police department, amongst other things such as homelessness, drugs, and the on-going projects that relate to the Margaritaville project and the brand new 32-million-dollar police department headquarters that is due to open in just a couple of months.

The police department has repeatedly failed to respond to several of calls for help within the community.  A neighbor told THE BLAKE MOIA SHOW on Sunday, that those wonderful group of kids who have no respect for anything what-so-ever who always congregate every-single-day across the street, improperly and illegally parked their trucks and blocked the sidewalk, preventing an old elderly woman who usually takes their evening walk around the block in her walker, from moving freely and having to obstacle course her way around. Who knows what's in people's yards these days.  It's really dangerous.

The neighbor, who he is also sick of this group of people - who are irresponsible, reckless, no good-intended people, called the non-emergency line for the Melbourne Police Department to report the illegal and obnoxious parking job.

The call was answered.

The call taker claimed they were "busy" with "in-progress" calls and that the entire force was busy.  However, they would still send someone out to make the young adults move their trucks out of the way.

Two hours had past and no officer of the peace, law and order showed up to tell them they can't park there.  Maybe they were busy? ....or were they not?

I happened to be in the area doing errands and I don't want to be anywhere near around them at all because, all hell will break out between me and them.  So, I took a stroll in the area after hearing about this and I just couldn't help but notice that during those 2 hours, I seen 2 Melbourne Police Cars and an SUV parked in the Sarno Plaza just chilling there and the officers inside talking with each other it seemed like.  Oh yeah. Real busy huh?  I myself then called the non-emergency line about it... And was told by the Communications Officer on duty that they were busy and they have in progress calls happening right now.  Yeah.  Such bull crap.  I turn on the police scanner.  Down the road on Croton and Leewood, Officer Fayh is pulling over someone for some broken taillight or something.  So, there's four officers not really doing anything and don't wanna bother helping an elderly grandma out.  But we are told they are "realllllyyyy busyyyyy". Got it? Good.

That's not the only time I was told "We are too busy" by the way.

We called The Mayor's Office today for comment. Nobody answered.  We called our district city counsel member.  Nobody answered the phone.  We left a voice mail as well as an email.

Greetings,

We have left you a voice mail this afternoon regarding the city's police department. Several calls to the Police department's non-emergency line were placed regarding trucks recklessly driving in and around the Ixora Park Neighborhood, doing burnouts which leaves toxic smoke inside houses -- several neighbors are elderly and have COPD. These same kids in trucks were also parked illegally, blocking the stop signs and the sidewalks at 800 Ixora Drive at the intersection of Pontiac Circle South and Ixora.

Again, several calls were placed on this past Sunday in regarding to an elderly woman on a walker who was getting her evening exercise couldn't get by because the trucks were illegally blocking the sidewalk. The dispatcher advised they were, "too busy dealing with 'in progress calls' but claimed they would still send someone out. Three hours passed and police never showed up to handle the issue. During those 3 hours, while out and about, I couldn't happen but noticed there were a few patrol cars parked right down the road 30 seconds away at the Sarno Plaza chilling there talking with each other, it seems. Very busy, eh?

On Halloween Night of last year, I was viciously assaulted and beaten to a bloody pulp by those same neighbors in my own driveway. Calls were made to MPD -- against only to be told "we're busy" and after 3 hours of waiting and waiting and waiting for justice, I gave up and went to the front desk of the police station -- injuries and all -- pleading and begging the front desk clerk, who was a complete jerk I might add. He told me "WELL HOW DO I KNOW YOU WEREN'T JUST DRUNK LAST NIGHT AND FELL DOWN ON YOUR FACE?" I have more than enough video, evidence, documentation, and everything else that I need to support my case.

Your police department, sir, is blatantly corrupt and cannot be trusted. The department laughs me off and laughs off all the calls for service every single time. The last time I met with an officer regarding the reckless driving. All he did was tell me to "keep calling every time it happens". Well... I DO and nothing gets done. That, or some supervisor automatically declares the call as "Code A - Unfounded" the second it's dispatched.

Your police are corrupt, inept and I am calling for a third-party independent investigation against the upper brass of MPD. None of this is remotely acceptable and they all should be completely ashamed of themselves for this malpractice. And I will be reporting on this for The Blake Moia Show

Respectfully,

TheBlakeMoiaShow.com

So.... what exactly is it going to take for a police response? Is it going to take those malicious people and all his friends across the street to set my house on fire with 50-foot flames up in the air?  Is it going to be dead bodies laying in the middle of the road?  And then how will the police even act at the scene? Are they going to laugh it off and giggle as they have always done? To me anyways?

We patiently await the Mayor's response.
