NOAA made its biggest predictions ever today. The weather monitoring service today said that it expects a wild, active, busy and an 85% chance of an above average season.
That is thanks to a number of factors, like, a La'Nina weather pattern in the Pacific. Wind shear upstairs in the upper atmosphere will be virtually zero this season and the ocean waters in the Atlantic's main tropical development zone is already at bathtub water temperatures. Not only is the water warm at the surface but it is also warm and deep, which provides fuel for the tropical storms and hurricanes.
Today, experts from the Federal Government said to expect a total of 25 named storms. This will mean the National Hurricane Center resulting in having to use the Greek Alphabet, something rarely used during Hurricane season.
Out of those 25 storms, 7 of those will be Major hurricanes being Hurricane Force 3 or higher. Force 3 or above brings catastrophic damages including storm surge flooding, and damaging winds. Entire communities under water. Beached wiped away. Roads collapsed. Power lines down and major power loss to entire cities.
Officials urge everyone living in vulnerable areas along the coast to prepare now and take advantage of the tax free holiday sessions before it's too late.
THE BLAKE MOIA SHOW suggests that you prep your generators, prep your windows, get your insurance documents ready. Take photos now while your property is in good order. Do the little things ahead of time to prevent the stress later on down the road.
